Energy Motor Sports Tuner Add Dark Night Edition to BMW i8

The BMW i8 seen below and wearing a special aero package, would have been one of the most exquisite models to be displayed at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show. Unfortunately, we won`t be seeing it exposed at the tuner`s stand.

Energy Motor Sports tuning from Japan have wrapped this exquisite BMW i8 with their special package called “Dark Night” Edition, which makes it a really standout model. Besides the Dark Vader-like program created last year, this would be second time seeing the i8 with such a special package.

The BMW i8 comes from the production line with an extremely aggressive and futuristic design and adding some extra bits at the exterior, would make the model even more outstanding. We are looking here at bespoke front bumper, over fender with duct, rear wing and rear flipper kit and mirror cover.

The overall design is complemented with the 21-inch alloy wheels, so wide that increase the car`s stance and imposing personality. Also, this particular i8 features custom-built exhaust system, red leather and new tweaks inside. No power upgrades were added so far.

The BMW i8 was unveiled with a I5 three-cylinder turbocharged TwinPower Turbo engine, developing 231 horsepower and sending the power to the rear axle. The conventional mill is coupled to an electric drive system which adds an extra 131 horsepower, all being sent to the front.

With all this sheer power, the plug-in hybrid is capable of sprinting from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds, which makes it more outstanding than the M3 or M4. The all-electric range is also set at 35 km, at a topping of 120 km/h, with an overall of 530 km range.
