Supercharged Hennessey Silverado ZR2 Arrives as 700-HP Limited Goliath for the U.S. Market

There has never been a factory Silverado 1500 with a supercharged V8 from Chevrolet, despite the current truck’s strong naturally aspirated engines since its 2019 debut. Hennessey has now pushed that missing piece into production form with a new version based on the Silverado 1500 ZR2, built in small numbers and aimed directly at buyers who want far more than the stock setup offers.

The truck is called Goliath 700, and the name says enough before the specifications even begin. Underneath, the 6.2-liter small block receives forced induction, taking the off-road Silverado into a different output bracket while keeping the ZR2 as the starting point. Production is limited to 100 examples. Pricing begins at $139,950.

The Supercharged Silverado seen here is equipped with the company’s 5.3-liter V8, not the higher 6.2-liter engine. Anyway, it does come with impressive power in standard guise: 420 horsepower and 624 Nm of torque, meaning that tuners have plenty of room to move in that area.

Hennessey is the right tuner to add some important power to the truck in question: no less than 700 horsepower and 828 Nm of torque, achieved at 4,100 rpm, allowing an acceleration from – to 100 km/h in just 4.2 seconds.

The new power upgrades couldn’t have been achieved without adding any new mechanical stuff. In our case, Hennessey added a couple of important ones, like a new twin-screw supercharger, in-house engine calibration, and air-to-water intercooling.

The comparison point is obvious even if Hennessey does not need to state it too loudly: Ford’s F-150 Raptor R and the now-absent Ram TRX. GM still avoids supercharging half-ton Chevrolet and GMC pickups, despite placing a blown V8 in the Cadillac Escalade-V, where output reaches 682 horsepower and 653 pound-feet (885 Newton-meters). Different vehicle, yes—but the contrast remains difficult to miss.

The chassis changes are just as visible as the power increase. Suspension work includes BDS upper control arms, while 20-inch wheels carry 35-inch off-road tires. Steel bumpers branded Goliath are part of the package too, along with black exhaust outlets and additional exterior trim that separates the truck from an ordinary ZR2 almost immediately.

Some details are less obvious until closer inspection: raised “Hennessey” and “Goliath” badges, “Supercharged” lettering on the fenders, plus carbon-fiber appliques added to the hood and tailgate. The front also receives a 40-inch LED light bar integrated into the bumper, joined by three-inch LED off-road pod lights.

Inside, the changes stay practical rather than dramatic. Buyers get electric power running boards, embroidered headrests, Hennessey all-weather floor mats, and numbered plaques inside the cabin.
