Old-timer Koenigsegg CCR Gets Upgrades from Edo Competition

Back in the day, the Koenigsegg CCR used to be that hell-of-a-car to sharpen our senses whenever hearing it down the track tackling the tight corners at high-speeds.

Now the model is back into the attention of Edo Competition tuner, the model receiving some upgrades under the hood and custom pieces inside the cabin. Interestingly, the supercar`s body styling remains almost intact and that might be a sign of respect that the tuner is keeping.

I mean, let`s face it, it is pretty darn hard to carry out styling makeovers on such an iconic model, the CCR already coming with an extremely aggressive design and imposing attitude, so why change something already beautiful in the eye of the beholder!?

The Koenigsegg CCR does standout with the new front with auxiliary lights as well as the charcoal painted rims, while the cabin is now highlighted by the Alcantara upholstery, brand-new infotainment system with reversing camera, or tire pressure monitoring system.

The car`s powertrain has also received a power boost. We are looking here at an ECU remapping and custom-built drive ratio, which puts the Koenigsegg CCR to a mind-blowing 891 horsepower, all sent to the rear axle. The engine is hooked to a six-speed gearbox, while the top speed has also been raised from 300 km/h to a whopping 390 km/h.

And I can bet the technicians from Edo Competition tuner are really proud with their latest project, as a result, they also released the media gallery below! Enjoy the view and don’t forget to share your impressions on the project!
