Mercedes GLE Coupe Gets a Fresh Start with MEC Design

No matter how ugly or bulk would a car might look in the standard version, things are different whenever an aftermarket shop takes control.

It is also the case of another Mercedes GLE Coupe which received the visit of the aftermarket specialists from MEC Design tuner. The updates list looks rather scarce right now, but the model is due to be unveiled with the full tuning program this summer.

The body style comes with slight updates, like revised front spoiler lip and custom rear tailgate spoiler, while inside, the cabin gets the luxury MEC floor mats or sport steering wheel.

The car`s real deal is the new set of wheels. We are dealing here with the CC3 forged meCCon Series rims, all dressed up in gloss black.

They are sized 10.5×22 and 12×22 front and rear, wrapped in 285/325 rubbers. The wheels add an extremely aggressive look to the car, especially since the ride height has been also lowered by 20 mm, thanks to the new suspension.

We should expect some goodies under the hood as well, way more impressive than the 333 horsepower with the nine-speed G-Tronic transmission, in the GLE 350d, all squeezed from a 3.0-liter turbo diesel V6 engine.

On the other hand, the GLE 450 AMG Coupe packs 367 horsepower, while the top of the line GLE 63 AMG S Coupe comes with a 5.5-liter unit and impressive 585 horsepower.
