Joint Venture Bisimito Engineering & McKenna Porsche Puts This 1980 Porsche 911BR out for Sale

Rare and iconic models that used to make history in famous racing events a couple of good decades ago, don’t get the appreciation they deserve, especially when they are offered for sale at some auctions, with a poor starting price.

I am talking here about a 1980 Porsche Bisimoto 911BR, recently put for auction at Mecum Monterey, with a starting bit of $135,000. With the right benefactor, the price can go up all the way to $175,000.

But perhaps the price doesn’t matter at this point, especially since all the proceeds will go to Boys Republic, a non-governmental agency dealing with troubled young people in Chino Hills, California.

This iconic 1980 Porsche 911 was put together by joint venture Bisimoto Engineering and McKenna Porsche, and comes with some extraordinary and standout goodies. We can depict the Slate Gray exterior wrap, complemented by the special Fuchs alloy wheels and lowered suspension.

This lad seen here is also coming with a high-performance 3.6-liter engine with a GT3 intake manifold, sequential fuel-injection and custom built pulse chamber exhaust system, all making the 911 developing a good 316 horsepower.

Other features that highlight the car`s personality refer to the black interior with custom retro racing seats, Momo Prototipo steering wheel, Rennline and polished trim interior accents, bespoke 911BR badge, custom-built four-point roll cage and so on.

What do you think?
