The Honda Civic Type R is a legendary car in all its forms and shapes. It is strictly about real performance you can use. Now, thanks to a new ARTA track-focused kit showcased by Autobacs, the Type R leans even harder into its motorsport roots, without losing its identity as a road-going hot hatch.
This package doesn’t try to reinvent the Civic Type R. Instead, it sharpens what’s already there: visually, aerodynamically, and most importantly, with track use clearly in mind.
Exterior – Motorsport Influence, No Guesswork
The exterior speaks for itself with the ARTA aero kit installed. The front of the Civic Type R looks sharper with the new aggressive splitter, while the back received a massive rear wing, highlighting the car`s advanced aerodynamics. Other elements create the feel of a touring car look.

Everything looks functional. Low, wide, and well-planted. This isn’t styling for social media—it’s design inspired by racing experience. And the visual message is clear: this Civic Type R means business on a circuit.
Wheel upgrades and subtle graphic details complete the look, reinforcing the connection to ARTA’s motorsport background.
Interior – Focus Stays on the Driver
Moving inside, the cabin of this gorgeous Civic Type R keeps the core layout. However, the technicians from ARTA did install new supportive seats and some other technicalities.

Any ARTA-related interior updates are subtle, more about atmosphere than transformation. This is still a place built for driving with top-notch attributes: long sessions, repeated laps, and concentration. Comfort also takes a back seat to engagement, just as a Type R should.
Engine and Mechanical Setup – Stock Power, Sharper Intent
No changes have been added under the hood, unfortunately. We would have loved some new power from Arta, though. Also, the car uses a six-speed manual transmission, which sends all the power to the front.

What This Kit Really Represents
This ARTA package isn’t about daily usability. It’s about showing what the Civic Type R can become when track performance is the priority. It’s a showcase. A statement. A reminder of Honda’s racing DNA.
Final Thoughts – A Type R Turned Up, Not Rewritten
The Civic Type R with the ARTA track kit doesn’t chase trends: it just follows a philosophy that’s been there from the start.
And even if the lack of power upgrades might bring some disappointment, the car`s focus here is chassis behavior, aero balance, and driver confidence rather than raw numbers. Suspension and handling tweaks are implied through the kit’s purpose, even if Honda keeps the mechanical details conservative. It’s still a Civic Type R, yet louder in intent.
