Retro Chevrolet K5 Blazer Styling Returns for the Suzuki Jimny with Updated 2026 Conversion Kits

A Suzuki Jimny already carries a strong personality, though one Japanese tuner continues to push the compact off-roader in a completely different direction. Cal’s Motor, operating under Alpine Style, has refreshed its retro-inspired conversion packages for the latest Japanese-market Jimny range, adapting the design to accommodate newly required safety hardware.

The project revolves around two packages called Beas and Beas+. Both draw inspiration from the Chevrolet K5 Blazer and return for the 2026 model year after engineers revised the front-end structure to work with Suzuki’s updated safety systems. The latest Jimny sold in Japan now incorporates millimeter-wave radar equipment and ultrasonic sensors in the nose section. For aftermarket companies, such changes create a challenge because front bumper modifications risk interfering with ADAS operation.

Cal’s Motor says the revised kits fully support the facelifted Jimny and Jimny Sierra. The company redesigned internal mounting points and repositioned brackets within the custom bumpers so the added electronics fit without compromising the retro appearance. Summer 2026 has been selected as the launch period in Japan.

From the front, buyers receive reverse-slanted chrome grilles paired with chrome bumpers. Lighting choices vary. Customers may select a square dual-headlamp arrangement or a four-lamp setup featuring split LED units. Chrome-finished wheels sit along the sides, while matching chrome bumpers continue the styling treatment at the rear. Round taillights complete the transformation.

The Beas targets the kei-class Jimny sold in Japan. Under the hood sits the mandatory three-cylinder turbocharged engine rated at 64 horsepower. The Beas+ package serves the Jimny Sierra instead. A separate Beas+ configuration also exists for the Jimny Nomade, specifically the five-door version produced by Maruti Suzuki in India.

Power differs between those variants. The Japanese-market Jimny Sierra uses a naturally aspirated 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine producing 101 horsepower. Production of the Jimny Nomade takes place in Gurugram. Maruti Suzuki operated as a joint venture until 2007, when the Government of India sold its remaining shares. Today, Suzuki controls nearly 70 percent of the company. Regardless of engine choice, both Jimny and Jimny Sierra retain part-time four-wheel drive as standard equipment.

Cal’s Motor extends the package beyond exterior styling. Complete vehicles include an Alpine display audio infotainment unit, a high-definition rearview camera, an integrated electronic toll collection system, HDMI and USB connectivity, plus Alpine speaker systems. The options catalog stretches much further.

Pricing begins at ¥3,380,000 including tax for the kei-spec Beas. The Beas+ starts at ¥3,580,000, also including the donor vehicle. Owners who already have a Jimny are not excluded from the program. Through the company’s distribution network, body kits and individual components remain available separately.
