ABT Sportsline squeezes 612HP from Audi S8

ABT Sportsline revealed a new tuning package, this time for the Audi S8, the more potent brother of the A8 model.

As you probably know, under the bonnet we find a 4.0-liter V8 engine capable to deliver 512 horsepower and 650Nm of torque in stock form. These resources enable the German model to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4,2 seconds.

However, the specialists at ABT say that the Audi S8 needs even more ponies under the sheet metal.

Therefore, a performance kit was developed and brings additional 100hp and 130Nm of torque which cuts 0,2 seconds from the 0-100 km/h acceleration. ABT’s Audi S8 hits now a top speed of 290 km/h while the 0-200 km/h sprint is done in 13 seconds.

“For us, the new AS8 is the best of both worlds, that is, the best in terms of both comfort and acceleration and agility. After all, the AS8 has to meet our premium customers’ standards when it comes to performance and luxuriousness,” says the tuner.

New 19- or 20-inch alloy wheels are available as well as a reworked air-suspension.
