O.CT Tuning released official details about their performance kit for the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible, a package built in partnership with Edelbrock.
To begin with, at the exterior, the two tuners offer new 22-inch alloy wheels as well as a revised stainless steel exhaust system. The latter features valve control but these are just minor details.
We say this because the main improvements of this kit will be seen in the performance chapter. Under the hood of the American model sits a 6.2-liter V8 engine capable to deliver 455 horsepower and 460 lb-ft (624 Nm) of torque.
Thanks to a revised ECU unit, a new intercooler and a special compressor kit, the total output is raised to 621 horses and 612 lb-ft (810 Nm) of torque.
Therefore, the open-top Stingray gains no less than 166 horses with only some minor interventions. This shows us how the stock engines are way more capable than they seem but carmakers tend to tone down them.
