DTE-Systems unveiled a new tuning kit for the Mercedes C63 AMG. It focuses on performance tweaks for the 4.0-liter V8 engine with no major styling improvements. To begin with, the twin-turbo V8 powerplant which normally delivers 476 hp and 650 Nm of torque is now capable of producing 590 hp and 816 Nm of torque.
We talk about a series power boost, possible mainly thanks to the plug & play system. There’s also a revised ECU and other minor tweaks implemented by DTE-Systems.
The stock version of the Mercedes C63 AMG accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4 seconds with a top speed of 250 km/h. The extra 114 hp and 166 Nm of torque should certainly improve these figures.
However, DTE-Systems released no official details in this regard. As mentioned above, their new tuning kit focuses on performance rather than styling, but you can combine this power kit with a styling package for a complete overhaul.
In order to make us understand more about the tuning process, DTE-Systems released an official video for us to take a closer look.
