The German specialists from ABT Sportsline released a new tuning package, this time for the current Volkswagen Beetle generation.
The starting point is the 2.0-liter TDI version able to deliver, after few basic improvements, 168hp (+30) and 370Nm of torque (+50).
The TDI engine under the bonnet received a remapped ECU unit which squeezed the extra power out from the diesel power plant. The additional ponies provide a better 0-100 km/h sprint in 8,8 seconds (-0,6).
Of course, the tuners from ABT Sportsline opted for some cosmetic improvements as well.
As the photo gallery reveals, the German model gets a body kit including new front lip, eye lids, new 18- to 20-inch alloy wheels, a revised spoiler and diffuser.
The company also provides a high-performance braking system along with a sport suspension which lowers the ground clearance.
“Both upgrades ABT Sportsline is now offering for the new Beetle are fully in line with the design package that has been developed for this visually so very striking car,” concludes the tuner.
