When the Ford GT first came out, a lot of people were happy to have the option to purchase it, if the wallet allowed.
That is in part due to the fact that it was a worthy successor of the iconic Ford GT40, and in part because it was insanely powerful.
When I say powerful, I mean powerful even by American standards, who like cars that go fast (in straight lines). The V8 supercharged engine was placed in the middle of the car and manages to displace 5.4 liters. And if that seems like a weak engine, now Hennessey offers an upgrade kit for it.
While still keeping in place the supercharger, the tuner decided to also install a couple of turbochargers to further increase the power. In this configuration, the Ford GT delivers a stunning 853 Hp and 920 Nm of torque. Watch it unleash on the dyno just below.
