Peel Trident equipped with a jet engine

Fitting massive and powerful engines to tiny cars is not a new practice, but I don’t think anyone has gone so far as this jet powered Peel Trident.

Simply put, that is a real jet engine fitted to what is basically a step up from a bike.

Originally launched in the 60’s, the Peel Trident has been re introduced to the market back in 2010, and the two seater, three wheel car goes for around £13.000. This particular Peel Trident seems to have dropped the three wheel configuration for a more stable our wheel config.

After being fitted with the jet engine, the car got a bit faster, but not as much as you might think. It managed to complete a quarter mile in 23.3 second with a top speed of 126.2 km/h. You have to understand that in stock form, the Peel Trident weights just 160 kg and comes with a 49 cc engine.
