We are sometimes wondering why the hell do we need so much power out of our already powerful Mercedes models, especially if they are customized by the carmaker`s special tuner division AMG. Well, perhaps the need for more adrenaline rush really makes us greedier for more throttle.
It also happened to the owner of this Mercedes-AMG GT who took his hot ride at the Mcchip`s aftermarket shop, in Mechernich, Germany, for an extra power boost.
Let`s remind our readers that the Mercedes-AMG GT comes in stock with a 4.0-liter biturbo V8 mill, outputting an impressive 510 horsepower and 650 Nm of torque, allowing a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.1 seconds, at a topping of 300 km/h.
But this lad here wanted more, so the technicians from Mcchip-DKR tuner complied with the situation and added some extra goodies under the hood.
This involves the fitting of a remapped ECU and an engine software update and after five hours or so of hard work, the project is almost complete. The result is quite outrageous.
595 horsepower and 775 Nm of torque, and a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in around 2.8 seconds, the same it takes to the all-new 911 Turbo S. Well guys, would you upgrade your AMG GT if you got one?
