Hummer H1 Gets Customizations and New Power, Installation by MSA

Designed for military purpose and not for raw power, the Hummer H1 has been recently the subject of a “subtle” make-over carried out by aftermarket specialists from Mil-Spec Automotive, involving a couple of external mods and a new power under the hood.

Those looking for a more aggressive and more powerful Hummer can get some help from MSA. Just like the one seen below, your very own off-roader can also benefit from the best treatment. The first striking visual element at the exterior is the heavy-duty coating which offers protection when barging through mud.

In order to protect all corners, the specialists have installed an external skeleton to the car`s body, along with new blacked-out alloy wheels with Inflation Control System with twin ARB compressors, which replace the standard Central Tyre Inflation System.

The boring feel inside has also received a fresh and more luxurious feel. We are dealing here with military-spec leather, bespoke aluminium parts, adding as well three-spoke steering wheel, MSA Design Works seats, climate vents front and rear, or rear-view camera.

To cope with all terrains, the Hummer H1 by MSA has also received some mechanical goodies, such as independent suspension system with half shafts, bespoke MSA coil springs and dampers, and portal hubs with 1.92:1 gear ratio.

Performance wise, the H1 by MSA has significantly increased its power thanks to a new engine installed under the hood. We are dealing here with a massive 6.6-liter Duramax turbo-diesel V8 engine, developing 373 kW and a whopping 1356 Nm of torque. All the power is sent to the wheels via a six-speed automatic transmission with manual transfer case with high and low range.
